Kira Webb

At 17, Kira was living with her parents in Derby after she returned from boarding school in Perth where she had spent her last two years of high school. At the time, Kira was enrolled in a Cert II in Business at North Regional TAFE and decided to apply to stay in our (now closed) Derby facility.

While staying at the Derby facility, Kira followed her passion as an artist to design and paint a mural on the outside of the facility (pictured) and bring her idea to life. After staying in Derby, Kira decided to complete her Certificate IV in Business after being offered an opportunity to complete a traineeship with Notre Dame University in Broome. She moved into Nyirrwa Murrgurlayi and continued to reach her goals and bought a car to get to and from work.

Kira completed her traineeship and gained full-time employment back in Derby as a receptionist and now lives independently in her home town!

"I am incredibly grateful for all of the help and commitment MADALAH gave towards putting me through schooling away from home. I wouldn't have had these great opportunities to secure a future life after school without MADALAH! " Jordee Simmons
