On Sunday, 9th November, we celebrated our very first MADALAH Community Day! We were thrilled to welcome an incredible turnout of students, families, partner schools, and corporate partners, all coming together to share a fun-filled and memorable afternoon.
The day kicked off with a Welcome to Country by Jayden Boundry and a warm address from MADALAH’s General Manager, Casey Jo Drummond, before Fabian Woods had everyone laughing with his hilarious stand-up comedy. Over 40 students joined MADALAH staff, mentors and supporters for a lively footy game, while others spent time at the collaborative art piece. Throughout the afternoon, there was something for everyone including face painting, raffles, an art stall by First Nations artist Linda Loo, a coffee van, an ice cream truck and non-stop tunes from DJ Diggy (our current student council member, Derell).
We’d like to say a huge thank you to our major sponsor of this year’s Community Day, Minderoo Foundation. Not only did their generosity bring this event to life, but they also bravely took part in what could go down as the most intense football match of their careers! And yes, they survived to tell the tale. Thank you again to the Minderoo Foundation Team for attending and making the day a huge success!
Thank you to our supporting sponsors, Fortescue and Revo Fitness. We appreciate the Fortescue team for running our sausage sizzle for the day. With their support and some sausages generously donated by McLoughlin’s Butchers, they definitely had their work cut out for them. Revo Fitness kindly contributed to the bouncy castle, which was a huge hit with the little ones (and the adults too).

The 2025 MADALAH Community Day was a huge success, and it was wonderful to see our community come together. A special thank you to Trinity College for generously allowing us to use your playing grounds for the event. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to making the afternoon so memorable, and it was fantastic to see everyone having an amazing time.
