4. ABSTUDY/Disadvantage




We encourage all families to apply for ABSTUDY. We are aware that applicants who are currently in primary school are unable to apply until 13 weeks prior to commencing in year 7, approximately November time. Please be aware however, that you will be asked to supply proof of ABSTUDY eligibility after this time. If you are offered a secondary scholarship and we do not have your proof of ABSTUDY on file, the scholarship offered will be pending and unable to be awarded until this documentation is received.















Financial disadvantage may be due to, but not limited to, the following reasons:

  1. Low income household
  2. Parent/guardian has a healthcare or pension card

Geographical disadvantage due to the following:

  1. Lives in a regional/remote WA location; no local high school within a reasonable distance or you would like your child to have the opportunity to attend a private school.

Other disadvantages may include, but not limited to, the following:

  1. Overcrowding
  2. Educational needs


Please upload any supporting documents, for example, a recent tax return, healthcare or pension card if you consider yourself to be disadvantaged due to financial strain or proof of address if you consider yourself to be disadvantaged due to location.
