On Friday 22nd January, Andrew Beck on behalf of MADALAH facilitated our first Cross Cultural Competency session for 2021 with the staff at St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls. The two hour session delivered by Andrew explored Aboriginal perspectives in education and boarding, strategies for better engagement and cultural practices. Staff found the session to be extremely valuable and insightful, taking away a whole new awareness of Indigenous culture.
We are proud to be kickstarting St Hilda’s Indigenous program and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to successfully support our 11 girls who we have placed there on scholarship. We look forward to watching each of these girls blossom throughout the coming year!
