With all of our 2021 scholarships now awarded it was time to hit the road. Our trip took us up to the Kimberley where we had the most amazing few days travelling. We started off our trip with a drive to Derby, spending time talking to community members and catching up with our alumni! We then headed up the Peninsular to Beagle Bay where we met some of our amazing new families. On our final day we held a ‘Meet & Greet’ session at Cable Beach to meet with students who are leaving their home communities to study in Perth next year; hoping to help make the transition to boarding that little bit easier. This was also the perfect opportunity for us to meet with local students and their families who will be starting at St Mary’s College Broome; our newest partner school.
It was exciting to meet those students who will be joining our MADALAH family in 2021 and we look forward to catching up with them again next year when we hold our annual Orientation Day; bringing all of our cohort together for a fun-filled afternoon. We also enjoyed catching up with lots of existing families throughout the trip too!
