Shell Partnership Launch

Shell Partnership Launch

14 May 2025

A Proud Day for Partnership & Purpose!

We officially launched our exciting new partnership with Shell and its joint venture partners for Prelude FLNG!

Shell is generously supporting 17 First Nations tertiary students, helping them pursue their university, TAFE and apprenticeship dreams and reach their full potential in 2025.

We were honoured to start the event with a heartfelt Welcome to Country by Jayden Boundry, setting a meaningful tone. Speeches from MADALAH Chair Jeanice Krakouer and GM Casey Jo Drummond followed, expressing deep gratitude to Shell for their incredible commitment to education and empowerment.

As a symbol of appreciation, Jeanice presented Shehu Abdurrahman, Prelude Production Support Manager with a coolamon, thanking Shell for walking alongside MADALAH on this journey.

Shehu then spoke on behalf of Shell, sharing their excitement for the partnership and personally welcoming each student with a special gift.

We wrapped up with great food, warm conversations, and new connections — a true celebration of shared values and community.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. Here’s to a strong partnership and brighter futures!

Acknowledgement of Country

MADALAH acknowledges and pays tribute to the Whadjuk Noongar, the Traditional Custodians of the Lands on which we work, and we pay our respects to their Elders – past, present and emerging. This acknowledgement extends to the First Peoples’ land across the state of Western Australia which is home to the many students that we support.

MADALAH recognises and values the continuity of cultural, educational and spiritual practices of First Peoples.

We wish to advise our First Peoples that this site may contain the names, images or audio-visual recordings of people who have passed.
