2019 Madalah Ball Auction Items

 

Item 1: Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa, Broome.

Enjoy three nights’ accommodation in a Garden View Studio at Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, home of gently swaying palm trees, world-famous sunsets and Kimberley charm. The resort boasts four incredible restaurants, an adult only and a family pool, a range of leisure facilities and the luxurious Chahoya Spa by L’Occitane. This package also includes return flights for two people from Perth, daily breakfast at Sunset Bar & Grill and return Broome airport transfers. Item 2: Custom one-off hand painted football boots by MADALAH Alumni Zachary Bennett-Brook.

These boots have been hand-painted by MADALAH Alumni Zachary Bennett-Brook, who is now a world-renowned Indigenous artist based in Sydney. The boots are painted in West Coast Eagles colours and are signed by the Indigenous Playing Group 2019. Displayed in a case.

 

Item 3: A private, 3-hour sail on board the STS Leeuwin II for a maximum of 120 people.

STS Leeuwin II is Australia’s largest sail-training tall ship, a beautiful three-masted 1850’s-style barquentine built. Your guests can haul on the lines to set the sails, take the helm and climb aloft! Or, if you prefer, just sit back and enjoy the breeze. Included in a Leeuwin Ocean Adventure day sail is three hours sailing, light refreshments and a guided tour of the ship. Bidders should note that alcohol service will be limited to the last hour of the sail. A three-hour sail for 120 people is valued at $7500. Item 4: Custom one-off hand painted Artwork by renowned Indigenous artist Linda Loo.

Linda has generously donated “Yonga Travel”. The size is 900mm x 1200mm.

   

Item 5: Fremantle Dockers package.

Secure a professionally framed 2019 Fremantle Dockers guernsey, signed by the entire playing group. This packages also comes with five (5) A-class reserve seats for Round 22, Fremantle v Essendon at Optus Stadium on Saturday night, 17 August 2019. Donated by the Fremantle Dockers.

 

Item 6: Ningaloo Fly Fishing experience.

Enjoy a unique fly fishing experience for four people with your guide Brett Wolf. Brett has been a full-time fishing guide for over 20 years. You will fish for trophy bonefish, permit, Golden Trevally and many other great species at Ningaloo Reef and Exmouth Gulf. Flights and accommodation not included. Donated by Bret Wolf.

A hand-crafted Didgeridoo hand-painted by MADALAH students at Wesley College Perth.

Item 8: A one-night stay in Crown Towers Crystal Villa with Butler service.

This package includes one-night stay in Crown Towers Crystal Villa with Butler service, access to Crystal Club and Valet parking for one vehicle. Valid Sunday-Friday until 3 February 2020. Donated by Crown Perth.

Custom one-off hand painted Artwork by renowned local artist Kevvyn Bynder. 175cm x 80cm. Commissioned by MADALAH for the 2019 Ball.

Item 11: Weekend farm stay with MADALAH Chair Kim Hames. 

Enjoy a weekend for two couples (or two adults with children) at picturesque 200-acre property in Donnybrook in a newly built farmhouse. All meals provided but some quality reds would be appreciated to enhance the evenings around the open fire. Enjoy participating in farm activities or just relax on the verandah and occasionally check the marron traps.

   

Item 12: Stephen Michael signed legend print.

A footballer famously known to have the ability to win a game all on his own accord, Stephen Michael was earlier this year  elevated as the 18th Legend in the WA Football Hall of Fame. This is a supremely limited edition print, which is still rolling off the press. Donated by the Stephen Michael Foundation.

 

Item 13: Dreamtime at the ‘G 2019

Watch the Tigers and the Bombers battle it out at the Dreamtime at the ‘G match during the AFL’s Indigenous Round 2020, from the comfort of some of the best seats in the house. The package includes return flights for two people from Perth, two-night’s accommodation, premium match tickets and two places at the famous Long Lunch in the lead up to the event.

Immerse yourself in the magic of this cultural living landscape with this all-encompassing luxury Uluru escape package. Item 15: West Coast Eagles Dual signed ‘We are the Eagles’

Limited to 1000 editions, licensed and endorsed by the AFL and AFLPA, this is a must-have for all Eagles fans and astute collectors alike. Integrated into the stunning display are a replica Premiership Medal and Norm Smith Medal. Personally signed by Premiership captain Shannon Hurn and Norm Smith Medallist Luke Shuey, and includes a piece of match-used ball from West Coast Eagles’ triumphant 2018 finals campaign. Framed dimensions 980 x 730 mm.

 

Item 16: Painting: Kimberley Dreaming (Kerry Howard)

Kerry Howard (Edney) was born in Carnarvon and is currently the Principal at Muludja Remote Community School in the Kimberley. where I live with my husband. “Art has been a constant in my life. I love painting my Country, my culture and life around me. I use a mixture of mediums depending on the ideas and dreams. Many of my paintings have come from dreams while visiting my father’s and mother’s country.”

 

Item 17: See a superstar artist perform live on Friday 23 August

Secure a private corporate suite at RAC Arena for you and 17 guests to witness a superstar artist perform live on Friday 23 August! The item also includes $800 towards premium menu catering from RAC Arena’s award-winning chefs and beverages, plus four premium car parking spaces at RAC Arena. Secure one of three Indigenous themed meals for ten people in the Champagne Lounge at Must Wine Bar, with ten bottles of incredible wines courtesy of Riverbank Estate in the Swan Valley. Must is the city’s most fashionable Australian bistros offering faultless, seasonally driven food.
