Proudly Partnering with Water Corporation!

3 June 2021

MADALAH is incredibly proud and excited to now be in partnership with Water Corporation who are as committed as we are to ensuring our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students have equal opportunity to a high quality education and will have access to mentors, to ensure they see and reach their full potential!

CEO of Water Corporation Pat Donovan imparted some words of wisdom to our four inaugural students at the partnership launch in April, to embrace the challenges and opportunities before you and “Bring a sharp mind and warm heart to all you do”.

The Hon. Dave Kelly MP believes the students now have the benefits of their culture, their knowledge and their Elders. “Thank you Water Corporation and MADALAH for the work you have done putting this program together.”

Emmet Hodder-Ryan spoke on behalf of the four inaugural recipients; commenting that none of them would be here without MADALAH’s support which filled our hearts with pride.

Des Headland spoke on behalf of MADALAH, as our Ambassador, about the pride he has in advocating for our program; how proud he is of his son Mason who was a MADALAH graduate in 2020 and is now pursuing a career within Water Corporation as a full time trainee in 2021!

In the words of these four leaders this partnership is a force to be reckoned with and we are so incredibly excited for the future!
